I don't see Jesus

That was Danielle response today when I asked her to be reverent in sacrament! I was explaining to her that the bread and the water represent Jesus and that we have to be quite and reverent and she said, but I don't see Jesus, so I told her that even though we can not see him we know in our hearts that he is there with us if we are reverent. Seriously I was not expecting such a response. she did behave better after our conversation, but I guess I need to be prepared to answer those difficult questions.

Catching up

Ok I have been tag so many times, but I have not have the chance to do it. Here is the first one!
1- Ten years ago I was in law school! I think it was my second year. Goodness sake I am old! I was also working at the Institute of Culture of Nicaragua ( my native country) I was one of the assistant to the director. I was not dating, but I was attending to institute.
2-5 things on my to do list. Write to my husband, take Danielle to story time, clean and do laundry oh and read the scriptures around 4 am when I will wake up for sure and not be able to fall sleep until 6 am ( that has happened the last four night in the row).
3-Snacks that I enjoy fruits, chocolate and cookies anything sweet!
4-What would I do if I suddenly become a millionaire. First I will pay our debts, buy a house, save money for my kids, take my parents and my in laws in a wonderful trip, help the children in my country, save money for my kids to go to college and save for retirement and go back to school.
5- Five places I have lived. Sorry juts have lived in 3 different places Nicaragua, Austin, Virginia. However, I did move all around austin every year I lived there.
6-Five jobs I have had. Uhm let see. Receptionist, Assistant, Medical Records, Customer Service, Independent Consultant ah of course Attorney.
7-Three of my bad habits: Complain, bite my nails ( not anymore, it took me year to over come this), be loud, to ask people their opinion about personal decision ( I've gotten better)
8-Five random things people don't know about me:
a) I used to be such a strong and faithful member I would skip class to go to meetings and activity related to Church.
b) When I first joined the church I left behind all my old friends and my old clothe ( started to wear long skirts and dresses) I did have the change of heart that Alma talks about in the scripture. I wish I could be more like that now.
c)My father and I had the worse relationship ever until I became member and I learned how to tell him that I love him.
d) My thesis was about glue sniffing children and I went to horrible places to interview them.
e)I just ended a relationship with a no member precisely because he wasn't member on december 31 ( a few days before I came to the states, so I had a broken heart which was fixed by the best man ever, my husband).

Tag you Kathe...everyone else has been tag

Earth Day

Today Story Time at Barnes and Nobles was focus on Earth day, so instead of crafts the kids got to plant there own seeds and were told to watch them and take care of them as they grow. Danielle was so excited, but I think she got a little confuse because she told me I want to see the flowers now. I am so excited that Barnes and NObles has such a nice program that teach kids diverse topics. LAst week was based on kids with special needs like autistic and down syndrome. I think it is good for my daughter to learn about everything and create conscience at her young age. Here are some pictures!

A day at the Children's museum

We lived in Austin for 6 years, and We never made it to the Children Museum down there because we had so much to do in our little neck of the world or wood? However, in the last year we visited the San Antonio Children museum, the Houston Children Museum and now The Virginia Museum. Our adventure took us to Norfolk. To get to our destination we had to cross "The great waters" as my mother in law call them. You see, there is an underwater tunnel that we have to cross in order to get to Norfolk. I wanted to take a picture of it, but I have to admit that I was a little nervous because I have never driven under a tunnel, so I decided to grab the wheel and focus on driving. We were able to see the big ships and some water. Since it was raining, we were not able to appreciate much of the bay or a sunset in our way back home, but I am sure we will go back to take care of those experience.
Direction were pretty straight forward, so we made it without getting lost. We spent the whole afternoon at the museum. Danielle played with everything that she saw. She really loved the supermarket experience She loooooves shoooopiiiing! We ended up our day at the planetarium exhibit. A 35 minutes movie that explains about our solar system... very interesting for 8th graders and up, but not much for toddlers. I learned that almost every planet has more than one moon did you know that? well I did not, but you have to remember that I learned about the solar system when I was 8 years old and ever since scientific have discovered much more about our galaxy. Anyway. Danielle wanted to see the Stars, so we sat there for about 20 minutes before she was ready to leave.
In our way home, we stopped by Walmart to get some milk and something yummy for breakfast. I thought Danielle might like the idea to take a nap since our drive was about 45 minutes, but not she did not go to bed until 10 pm. I wish I had her energy. I realize how hard is to go out with her all by myself and pregnant. She behaves very well, but when she wants to be hold or I just get tired of running around there is not a relay. Over all, we loved our fabulous experience.

A new hair cut

Today was a day just for me! My mother in law watched Danielle while I went to get pamper and get my hair done. It took the lady a few hours to get my hair ready because it was a lot of hair she said. Anyway, here it is a picture of my new me. The change is not very drastic because she recommended not to cut it too short since I will be chasing two kids very soon. I did change my color back to my natural dark color. I decided that I will be happy with what God gave me .

What a wonderful world!

Last night, I went to bed quite late I stayed up and read my scriptures while Danielle was in her own bed sleeping like Princess Aurora. It was so nice to be able to have some time between me and the Lord. My pray was more significant. I felt so bless to have the ability to communicate with Heavenly Father.
This morning we got up and I did my prenatal yoga work out, had breakfast, clean up and then got ready and head out to Barnes and Nobles for story time. Danielle had a blast making a Rabbit mask. We also read books after wards and she got to pick one book to bring it home with her for her bedtime story. I even met a lady whose husband is in the air force, her name is Karen and she just move here as well. We exchanged phone, so I will call her tomorrow see if we can get together. The lady who does story time realize we were new, and she gave us a warm welcome. I guess that is the nice thing about small town you now everyone. After that, we went to The Blue Bird Gap Farm in Hampton ( not sure if it is a town or a city) about 10 min. from where we live. Well let me tell you, in spanish we have a saying it goes "If you ask for directions you can get to Rome" ( or something along those lines) the point is that I have been driving all around town by myself and just asking people how to get from here to there, believe it or not I made it all the way there an back. Danielle had fun seeing cows, horses, ducks, lamas, goats etc. The admission is free and it has a picnic area and a nice playground the only inconvenient was the weather it was freeeeeezing I could not believe it! I managed to be there for 2 hours without a jacket ( yorktown was much warmer so I did not need a jacket) Thank-goodness I put a light jacket on Danielle. She could care less about the weather she was having so much fun.
We finally came home around 3:30 we had such a wonderful day enjoying those little things that make this world a wonderful place to live.

Farewel to my Sweetheart

Charles left two days ago to Austin, and from there he left to San Antonio. Today, he left to Georgia where he will be on basic training for 2 months. He will be able to call little or nothing not sure, but one thing I tell you it is hard for both of us to be apart. Since he left we have talked to each other about 8 times over the phone. Danielle sang to him "You are my best friend...I love you" She got it from little Einstein. As hard as it is not to cry every time she talked to him and sang that song my tears just roll down my check. I can't even imagine what he must feel. We both now this is for a better future for our family and we know we will receive great rewards. Besides, 6 months goes by so fast. Perhaps the most difficult is to explain Danielle that Daddy is not coming home tonight.

On a lighter note, today we went to explore our "New Kingdom" the new city where we live that is. We went to Barnes and Nobles and Chick Fil A, and to the post office all by ourselves. That was pretty neat. Tomorrow we might go to this a farm with petting animals. I say might because it is suppose to rain, so we will see. I did call the library today to sign up for story time, but you have to sign up and they don't have coupon until april 15 so we will have to wait.
Anyway, I have been tag the last couple of days or more. One is my purse and the other one with questions, but I will take care of it sometime this week when I feel better health wise.
