Remember the Alamo

Today, the girls and I adventurer into down town San Antonio. There are so many places to visit there, but nap time was coming up soon, so we have to choose one historical place and Danielle decided the Alamo. She asked questions about rifles and things in the museum and she wanted to explore evertyhing which we did in a whole 1 hour. It was fun, quick and educative.
Here are some pictures of our first adventure in our new city. If you wonder where Charles was..at work.

Very silly

So  MAry and I were watching "Every body loves Raymond" and we were commenting how Deborah dress just like a mom. The I looked at Mary and asked her "we don't dress like that...do we?" of course I knew the answer I do have a mirror in my house, but anyway Mary reply "yes we do" we both laugh and try to fix it with the following "of course we dress with more up to day clothe". Anyway, a soccer mom is a soccer mom weather she wears tennis shoes or flat shoes.

What a nice surprise!

Yesterday, the girls and I went to Austin to get my car repair again and spend the day with Mary. We left home at 7 am in a very cold morning (well nothing compare to Pittsburgh). We got to North Austin around 8:30 am. Stop at McDonalds for breakfast, drop the car off and then headed to Ikea with my friend Mary and all our kids (now we have 4 , 2 each all of them Girls). We got to Ikea and we found out that they have a child care for free! Yeah, but it was busy, so we decided to wait until some parents pick up their kids and then we can leave ours in replacement. We waited for another hour before we could leave our kids in the playground area, but it was so worthy because my dear friend Monica Allen was at Ikea too! what a great surprise! She is expecting baby#3 another little boy, but she looks great. I love Monica so dearly she took me under her wing when I came to Texas 7 years ago now! She and her husband are eternal friends to me. It is so funny how things happens so randomly?!? We having being talking trough face book ( that's another story) for the last few days. So I thought about yesterday and call her and let her now I was going to be in Austin and I would like to see her, but I did not have my car anyway... you get the idea. And it did happen! What a nice surprise.  We spend the rest of the day with Mary and came home at 8:40 pm after getting stuck in Austin's traffic, stop twice one to get food and other to check on Sophia who cried most of the trip, but with a fixed car...I guess that was the price I had to pay for having fun with my friends. thanks dear friends for making my day!

Christmas eve ...really quick

Danielle and Lucas dancing while uncle Thomas Sings "devil woman"

Danielle and Lucas are Mary and Joseph while Pawpaw reads Luke. This was our spiritual part of of the trip.
We all sang Christmas hymns to remember Jesus. Here are Chris and Sarah Zarky ( Charles' sister and her husband) and Thomas and his guitar.
Danielle and Gram. Danielle is holding "baby Jesus" that night before she felt sleep I asked her what was her favorite thing of the day and she said "being Mary" We had lots of fun

You remembered we left Pittsburgh, stopped in St. Louis, Missouri for a night, went to Houston and stayed there couple of day from some family fun and then we all went to spend Christmas in the hill country at some cabin that Michael and Teresa rented for all of us. So here are some pictures of Christmas eve!

Graduation Ceremony

Friday morning we went to Fort Sam Houston where Charles had a little ceremony as he ended the first part of his training program. My kids were the attention. They both were tired and loud. This time is Sophia's nap so it was particularly difficult for her. The hour ended and we rushed home to have lunch and nap, I even took a nap myself.
We were so happy to see Charles walk trough the stage and get a special recognition for doing great in his physical test Yeah Charles!
Here are pictures of the event.

My week ...so far

This week has been quite crazy, well the all are, but this one in particular so here is a summary. Sunday was our 1st day at our new ward I am a new person for the 3rd time in a year. If you remember how hard it is the 1st time in a ward you will understand how emotionally dreary is to put yourself out there again , try to get some friends, get use to everything perhaps a new calling and take my husband to base where he has to sped the rest of the week while he is doing all the outprocess paper, so I am on my own again. Monday, some family drama, we see charles for a few hours, clean some more for whatever reason I still have not finish doing laundry I wash, and do and I still have a huge pail of clothe that I am trying to eliminate...not too much luck yet. Charles come home for dinner and then we took him back to base again. Tuesday, more family drama, but it is over, things cleared up everyone fine sort of speak. I worked out take care of my girls you know breakfast, nap dirty diaper Sophia has some spot in her body need to go to doctor. I can't go yet because we have to do paper work . We were 4 suppose to go to playgroup, but it is raining so there it goes my chance to meet new people. I don't lose my mind just kept on going. Danielle cried for about an hour, in her room I may add, because she does not want to take a nap ( but she is super tired and need one really bad) I close the door until is quite  adn wento to check on her she is peacefully sleeping such an angel. I clean some more trying to hang pictures and make this place more like home. The girls woke from nap, I put them in the car go to the comissary to get groceries not food at all in the fridge. We picked up Charles in our way back , so he can have diner with us. 8 pm Charles has to be on base beofre 9 so we have to leave again Danielle asked me over and over again "why Daddy is working so much, he already worked why we have to do this every night, my eyes are closing I am tired and she ket on going".
Wednesday got up super early got the girls ready and went to Austin to get my car fixed, bugged my friend Mary to pick me up and spent the day with her and her girls . This was my fun day so far we went to the park , the girls played and we talked we had to catch up on almost a year since we see each other is funny we are so much a like and we have similar opinion on most things. I guess the best part is that if we disagree in something we don't really argue we make our pint and keep on talking. I love Mary she is such a wonderful woman made my week much more pleasent. It is 3 pm  called Gilbert to find out if my car is ready he tells me that he did not worked on it because he has been sick all day long , go pick up my car rush to not get stuyck in Austin traffic which is awful. Stop at my sister's in my way home. She is awaitting me with a fun movie The women...not my favorite but good enough to laugh a little bit. Have anice dinner and come home  at 9 pm put girls to sleep and get ready for another day. Just in case you wonder  what I have been up to
